Melanin “a dark brown to black pigment occurring in the hair, skin, and iris of the eye in people”

A word that gave me an identity. I grew up usually one of the only black kids at my school and city. I didn’t enjoy being black growing up. I saw it as a curse. 2018 was the beginning of a journey of confidence. Embracement. Passion. And most importantly freedom. God is still working on me, and I hope that these blogs will help create a sense of confidence for you that He’s still working on you too.

I’m 25, married to Madalyn who tends to laugh more at her own jokes than mine but it’s fine. I’m a youth pastor in San Antonio who loves to encourage. I’ll mainly write about Jesus, Race, and occasional humor. I guess the other important fact is that I’m 6’8. Which means I have a rational fear of ceiling fans. I hope you decide to join the journey!
